About ITDOur Objectives Our ultimate objective is clearly to end the consumption of dogs and cats in the Republic of South Korea and the other Asian countries where this practice is tolerated. These companion animals are carnivorous and unlike herbivores cannot be humanely bred for meat. Experience proves however that legislation alone will not end these barbarous practices, since animal welfare laws in many Asian nations are blatantly flouted. We therefore must campaign not only for legislation but for its enforcement. Our Legal Stance This web site is hosted within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and therefore respects the Laws of the United Kingdom. We do not recognise the Laws of any other Country or Organisation as appertaining to ourselves save those International Laws recognised by the U.K.. We consider however that by its unwillingness to enforce its own Laws regarding dog and cat slaughter and consumption, the Republic of South Korea considers itself to be above International Reproach and thus beyond International Law. We would not therefore feel it appropriate to automatically condemn the actions of any Organisation or Individual that chose to work outside of International Law to advance the plight of companion animals in either South Korea or any other country that endorses their abuse.
